Why color-grading is important in post production?
Today, color grading is accessible to any editor and the tools to accomplish this task are found in most video editing programs.
Colour grading can make a drastic change to footage, turning day into night or making a drab shot into a vivid landscape. It can make the backlot look like a location from a world away.
It doesn’t need to be bold and loud and can be a small tweak to the footage. Even a subtle change in the coloring of the footage can impact the mood of the video greatly.
The mood of any narrative is always enhanced by the use of color grading.
Although a number of colorists may prefer to use the built-in coloring panel in Premiere or After Effects to color their footage, DaVinci Resolve Coloring Suite is our choice when it comes to professional high-end color grading results.
